How to Spot a VicarThis Vicar can be spotted on Saturday mornings at Brewood library between 10 am and midday. Please feel free to pop in to see me and introduce yourself to me, I have use of a room where, if you wish, we can talk privately. Lent Courses for Christians Together There are two courses on offer this Lent, they are: Lost for Words – a six week course thinking about how we put our faith into words. This will be held at Brewood Methodist Chapel on Tuesday evenings starting on 23rd February at 7.45 and led by Penny Hunt and Ian Host. Sign up at your church or speak to Ian or Penny.
Everybody Welcome - a five week course looking at how we welcome people to our churches. This course will be held at Church House on Wednesday evenings starting on 24th February at 7.45. And if there is enough demand, an afternoon venue may also be arranged. It will be led by Charmaine Host and others. Sign up at your church or speak to Charmaine.

Womens World Day of Prayer
St Mary & St Chad Church, Brewood You are invited to the annual service for WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER Friday 5 March 2010 at 2.00pm ‘LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE GOD’ This year the service has been prepared by the Christian Women of Cameroon. They write “we invite you, our sisters and brothers coming from the four corners of the world, to join us as we praise God with all our being.” The speaker is The Revd Carol Hathorne, Assistant Minister in the Short Heath Team, Willenhall. Carol is an author of many books including Assist Our Song, The Accidental Church, Christian Dance, Angels Keep Watch and A Ferret in the Vestry.

Christians Together in Brewood and Bishops WoodDo you know of anyone in our community who might appreciate a visit - perhaps because they are lonely, bereaved, housebound, suffering from serious illness, new to the area or have special needs?Our group seeks to widen the help we, as Christians, can give pastorally to those in need in our community.We act with the support of the four churches and visit on behalf of the priests and ministers. We listen and observe strict confidentiality.If you know of some one in need please pass the details to Celia Haes (01785 840624)or to your own church priest or minister.
Bishops Wood SchoolMay Ball has produced a photograph of the school in 1946/47 when it was still at the old school house on the far side of the rectory. Saturday Morning Prayer Group - Brewood Church 9:00 - 9:30This group has met every Saturday since September 2008. We sit in the Prayer Corner, light a candle, read some Scripture verses and then pray. We pray silently, or read prayers from our sheet, ending with the Lord's Prayer. Rainbows (young guides)A new Rainbows group is running on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:15 pm at the Scout Hut, Deansfield Road, Brewood. Tel 850068 for details. Kneeler groupA group has been formed to make new church kneelers from cross stitch on canvas for both Brewood and Bishops Wood churches.
