Parish RecordsHistoric records of both St Mary and St Chad, Brewood, and St John the Evangelist, Bishops Wood have been deposited at Staffordshire Record Office, where they are available for consultation by the public. These include the following parish registers : Brewood, St Mary and St Chad : baptisms 1562-1981, marriages 1562-1989 and burials 1562-1993. Bishops Wood, St John the Evangelist : baptisms 1852-1922, marriages 1852-1984 and burials 1852-1992 Also notable amongst the Brewood parish records are the excellent parish officers' accounts from the late 17th and 18th centuries, and the tithe rent-charge apportionment award and map, 1838-1841.
